That is the reason for placing “non-maleficence” as first principle of Medical Ethics. All the health regulating bodies across the globe has declared it mandatory to have Institutional research and ethical boards to filter the research on parameters of non-maleficence, beneficence, privacy, confidentiality, autonomy and dignity because the aim of science is not to open the windows of unlimited wisdom but to set barriers to unlimited errors. I am very glad that we have a very knowledgeable and vibrant team of IREB in Khyber girls’ medical college and its affiliated institutes. Owing to the growing number of research publications, switching to mandatory publication by CPSP, the deanery of KGMC have bestowed the additional responsibility of facilitating all integral steps of publications according to the PICOT method.
